Understanding Trauma and Resilience. Building Skills for Yoga Teachers 

In this 15 hour training you will:

• Gain an understanding of what trauma is and its effects on human physiology 

• Explore the autonomic nervous system and the common physical contraction patterns associated with the stress response.

• Understand the role of the vagus nerve and yoga tools to reclaim healthy vagal tone.

• Learn the role and presence of a trauma informed teacher

• Create a safe container for healing: language, sequencing, room set-up 

• Learn to apply the tools of pranayama, integrated gentle movement practices, & sacred sound to guide your students to nervous system regulation

• Build your tool kit for teaching trauma sensitive populations

• Experience practice to balance and regulate your own system 

Course Features:

• This course is for both Yoga Teachers and interested students.

•  Offered Live on Zoom (recordings available if you can't make the time)

• Saturdays, April 15 - May 13, 2023 from 8:00am-11:00am Pacific Time (that's 11:00am-2:00pm in New York and 5:00pm-8:00pm London). Expect 1 hour of homework/practice each week.

Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy & Process Group | Online Course

Date & Time:

5 weeks: March 21 - April 18 (every Tuesday)

• 10:30 - 11:45am PST: Yoga Therapy Practice

• 11:45 - 12:30am PST: Process Group

Course Details:

• All Yoga Therapy classes are trauma informed, gentle, and designed for nervous system regulation.

• All Process Groups are safe spaces to be heard and witnessed.

• Course is online. Replay link available for Yoga Therapy Practices if you are not able to attend during the time offered.

• Process Groups will not be recorded and will only be available live.
